Mena Hardy Finalist in John Lennon song writing competition for “I’m a Loser at 17”

 

horiz_logo September 2012 – The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest that began in 1997. The Contest is open to amateur and professional songwriters who submit entries in any one of 12 categories. Mena was entered in the Rock category by producer Mark Zubrek with her song “I’m a Loser at 17”. The Rock genre is the most contested and receives thousands of entries from around the world. She was one of only 3 finalists to win in this hotly contested category. In addition to some cool prizes Mena will also now be in the running for band of the year which will win the coveted spot on the Vans Warp tour. When asked how she felt after finding out about her big win she replied “Freakin’ amazing, I didn’t even know I was entered.”
